As Thanksgiving is quickly approaching tomorrow I wanted to do a quick post on our latest project! The students each brainstormed a long list of things they are thankful for. We took their picture, cut it out, and made a silhouette of things we are thankful for. The students even got a chance to go to the computer lab and type their top 10 things they are thankful for. Take a peek at them hard at work. Scroll to the bottom to see most of the students finished project! Some are still working! Can you guess which one is your child? : ) Click on the picture and it will get bigger! THANK YOU! Thank you parents for all that you do to support your child's education! Thank you for raising them to be such thoughtful, creative, and respectful students who try their best and never give up! I am so thankful to be able to have such a rewarding job that I love to come to each day! : ) Reminder: Keep your eyes open for your child's report card as it will be coming home on Friday, November 30th! Have a great Thanksgiving!!! : )

I just have to start off by saying I have some of the most thoughtful 3rd graders and families this year. I got surprised by a box of M&M cookies from one of my students today. What better than your favorite cookies to start off a Monday!!! I have to admit I already ate one and they are very delicious! Thank you sooo much Matthew and his family!! You put the biggest smile on my face, not for the gift but how thoughtful you would be do make that kind of gesture!!
Next up, we have completed one of my favorite projects we do in third grade called "Turkey in Disguise." I really give students no examples or instructions and I am always amazed at how creative they can be. Take a look below. (Sorry for having to crank your neck sideways!) Also the stories that go along with them are GREAT!! Thank you parents for helping your child be creative and help finish this writing project!! Stay tuned for tomorrow's project and post! I can't wait to see how these turn out. We having been talking about what we can be thankful for, as Thanksgiving is approaching!! The students are really thinking hard and not just going for the games and toys that they have but the little things that we forget about! They make me so proud!!! I am thankful to have each and everyone of them. P.S. Click on the picture and the story of how the turkey will not be eaten will pop up, also who it is written by! Enjoy! |
