Where does time go? I feel like it was just yesterday I was helping the kids unpack their backpacks filled with freshly new supplies and today we loaded them up. I know the students are excited for summer but these things start making you not want to let them leave! Lets just hope for no tears on the last day of school. :) From me that is not your kids! HA! Last week we ended reading our first novel as a class. This year we got to read Charlottes Web. As a class we dug deep to analyze characters, worked on improving our comprehension, and even got to do some fun art projects with it! Take a look at our class being able to relax and watch to movie! Hard work pays off!! Can't wait to compare and contrast the movie and book tomorrow with the students. P.S. I also added pictures from our public works field trip! So neat to learn about all the jobs that we take for granted! I could not believe how big the street light was! Here are some reminders for the last week of school.... I can't believe it!
1. Talent show is from 8:45 to 10:15 tomorrow. If your child is in it you are more than welcome to come and watch, unfortunately I do not know the exact time he or she will go on. 2. We will be going to Elmwood Park on Wednesday for the afternoon. Please dress accordingly, we will eat at school so no need to pack a lunch. 3. Thursday is the last day of school! Crazy I know!!! Awards Ceremony for the school will be from 8:30-9:30. We will be outside most of the day playing games and on games to go. Please make sure your child is wearing tennis shoes! 4. Return the purple parent survey by Wednesday. Be brutally honest please… this is how I get better. Sit down and talk with your child and fill it out together or you can go through and then give it to them to fill out. No names will be on this paper and I will not see who hands it in. I do this to make sure they are honest. Thank you! J Summer School---If your child is going to summer school we have kept their school supplies at school, otherwise you might have noticed your child’s backpack being extra heavy today. I gave the students 2 options… donate to kids who do not have supplies or bring it home. If your child does not bring anything home that is why!

Our Field trip pictures are up! We got to roam the wide open prairie today with our kiddos! What a beautiful day we got spoiled with! Some students were complaining because it was too hott! I tried asking them if they would rather have snow and they said yes! Ha Hopefully it will not snow. Take a peek at our adventure we learned so much! |
